Rose Point Home
Goal
Create an indoor-outdoor living experience on the water in Kirkland, Washington.
Challenge
Building on the water with a site that has trees requires focused attention and respect for the site, and City codes, before design & construction can start.
Solution
Existing trees deemed significant by the City remained and the house was built to accomondate them. Site shoreline regulations required an area for migrating salmon to spawn. The overall design provides for a home that does not need artificial lighting during the day and is as easy to live outside as inside.
