Highland Drive Art Deco

Goal
Create a three house project worthy of its site across the street from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill, overlooking Seattle.

Challenge
Take full advantage of the views of Down Town Seattle and The Space Needle, along with providing drive in parking for three separate units without filling the front of the site with garage doors.

Solution
The main house is oriented through the front door to the 'Space Needle', with the other rooms of the homes played as a curve off that main sight line orientation..

A secured entry opens into a shared courtyard with garage doors positioned for each dwelling off of it.  The main house has a 5-car underground parking garage and the two adjacent units each have two car garages.

The interior design team of Mike Sofie and Bob Sheep (West Highland Design) created the amazing story of the interior you see here and in the video.
